Rotary lifts the veil: R2500, the touchless wheel aligner rewriting the rules, debuts at Automechanika 2026

In recent days, a rumor had been circulating among industry insiders and observers: Rotary was set to bring a preview to the show shrouded in near-total secrecy, a novelty in the diagnostics category and, more specifically, in the world of wheel alignment. The only clue that had leaked out was the scale of the announcement itself: a solution that, according to its creators, was set to redefine the standards for how wheel alignment work is done today.

The mystery is now solved: it’s Rotary R2500, the new touchless wheel aligner, taking center stage at the Rotary booth at Automechanika Frankfurt 2026.

A wheel aligner with no clamps, no fixed towers

R2500 breaks with the traditional approach to alignment: no clamps to attach to the rims, no fixed towers to position around the vehicle. The system is built around four measuring heads mounted directly on the lift, able to capture the vehicle’s full alignment data in under 5 seconds, powered by an AI edge computing engine that processes data right where the work happens, in real time.

What it changes for the workshop

• Adaptive sliding heads. Positioning adjusts instantly to the vehicle’s wheelbase, whatever comes in next.
• Built around the lift. The aligner moves, not the vehicle: the bay stays free for other jobs.
• Touchless and clamp-free. Setup time is cut in half, with no risk of rim damage.

The result is alignment completed in half the time, without taking a dedicated bay out of service: a direct productivity gain for every workshop.
